The Wahnenbusch is a pure deciduous forest with dense ground vegetation. For centuries, the rural owners operated a medium-sized forest management here . In the 1970s, most of the forest parcels were transferred to municipal ownership in the course of land consolidation .

ground

The forest stands on damp soils (loess loam) on the main terrace. These are pseudogley soils and parabrown earth .
