The Waikato Spur is a 5 km long mountain ridge in East Antarctica Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it extends northwest from Mount Lister and separates the upper sections of the Emmanuel and Carleton glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1994 based on the naming of other objects in this area, which are named after universities, after the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand .
