Waldemar Acosta , full name Waldemar Jesús Acosta Ferreira , (born August 25, 1986 in Rosario or Juan Lacaze ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.87-meter-tall attacking player Acosta made his debut in professional football in 2007 as a player for Deportivo Colonia . In 2009 he moved to Esparta FC on loan . In the second half of 2010 he was assigned a career position in Australia at Brisbane Roar . His engagement there ended at the beginning of 2011. Acosta then played 37 games in Serie B that year during his contractual relationship with Técnico Universitario that began in 2011 . He scored 19 goals. At the beginning of December 2011 he moved to Deportivo Quito , where he played two league games in Serie A and scored one goal. Acosta's next career station was Celaya in Mexico from July 2012 to mid-January 2013 . He ran seven times (no goal) in the local Primera División . He then signed with the Ecuadorian first division club Macará , where he scored four goals in 17 league appearances by the middle of the year. From July 2013 to the end of January 2014 he was active at River Ecuador . His record at the second division shows 15 league games and six goals. In February 2014 he returned to Técnico Universitario. He met there three times in Serie B. On March 4, 2014, he joined the second division Canadian Soccer Club in his home country Uruguay. At Apertura 2014, his move to the Rampla Juniors , who had previously been promoted to the Primera División , was announced. In August 2014, however, he joined the Uruguayan second division club Plaza Colonia . In the 2014/15 season he was used 14 times (no goal) in the Segunda División . In March 2015 he moved to the Ecuadorian club Fuerza Amarilla on loan . With the Ecuadorians he scored twelve goals in 34 appearances in Primera B and thus contributed to winning the championship of 2015 in this league. In January 2016 he returned to Plaza Colonia. In the 2016 Clausura, he completed two first division games for the southern Uruguayans (no goal). In the middle of the year he moved to Guatemala to Xelajú and played 17 league games (four goals) for the club. LDU Portoviejo signed him at the beginning of March 2017 . So far (as of August 9, 2017) he has scored seven league goals there.
