Valery Igorewitsch Knjasew ( Russian Валерий Игоревич Князев ; born June 11, 1992 in Prague , Czechoslovakia ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC České Budějovice since 2013 in the second-rate 1st division .

Career

Valery Knjsaew began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Sparta Prague , where he was active until 2011. In the 2009/10 season the winger also came to ten point-free missions for the Brampton Battalion in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League and in the 2010/11 season as a loan player to six point-free missions for the professional team of HC Berounští Medvědi in the 1st division , the second Czech division.

In the KHL Junior Draft 2011 Knjasew was selected in the first round as a total of 15th player from HK Sibir Novosibirsk , for whose professional team he played in the Continental Hockey League from the 2011/12 season. At the same time, he ran for the club's junior team in the multinational youth league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga .
