Career
Valery Fomenkov spent his career as a hockey player at Spartak Moscow , with whom he won the Soviet championship in the seasons 1961/62 , 1966/67 and 1968/69 . In total, he completed 480 games in the leagues of the Soviet Union, in which he scored 141 goals. From 1970 to 1971 and from 1972 to 1977 he was a member of the coaching staff of Spartak Moscow. In 1995 he was honored as the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR and Russia in ice hockey .
