Wally Beavers
Wally Beavers (actually Walter Beavers; born July 11, 1903 in York , † November 29, 1965 there ) was a British long-distance runner .
At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he was ninth over 10,000 m and eliminated over 5000 m in the prelim. In 1932 he won bronze at the Cross of Nations for England . At the British Empire Games in London in 1934 , he won over three miles .
In 1928 and 1929 he was English champion over four miles, in 1932 over three miles.
