Walrab von Wangenheim (politician, 1831)
Walrab Freiherr von Wangenheim (born August 2, 1831 in Hanover , † November 29, 1909 in Sonneborn ) was the manor owner, officer and member of the German Reichstag . He belonged to the family of the Thuringian Uradelsgeschlechtes of von Wangenheim .
Life
Wangenheim attended the Lyceum in Hanover and from 1846 to 1849 the cadet house there. From 1849 to 1866 he served in the Garde du Corps in Hanover (most recently as squadron chief) and resigned as captain after the annexation of Hanover. Then he managed his estates in Sonneborn and Wangenheim .
From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 9 Hameln , Linden , Springe and the German-Hanover Party .
