Walter Bongartz

Walter Bongartz (born February 19, 1946 in Regensburg ) is a German hypnosis researcher and therapist.

Bongartz received his doctorate in 1978 from the University of Konstanz in the field of psychology and sociology as Dr. rer. nat. ; In 1993 he completed his habilitation and then taught at the same university. He was Academic Councilor of the Psychology Section at the same university, President of the German Society for Hypnosis , the European Society of Hypnosis and the International Society of Hypnosis .

For his "life's work in the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy" Bongartz received the Milton Erickson Prize from the Milton Erickson Society.
