Walter Dollinger

Walter Döllinger (born October 8, 1949 ) is a German political official . From 2008 to 2010 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

After his community service, Walter Döllinger studied business administration at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and graduated in 1976 with a degree in business administration. He then worked as a research assistant in Erlangen-Nuremberg, and in 1980 he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD.

After completing a trainee program at Bosch , Döllinger joined the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in 1982 . In the following years he held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming head of unit and sub-department head. From 2004 until his appointment as State Secretary, he was Program Director Space at the German Aerospace Center .

Döllinger is a Catholic and married.

From October 1, 2008 until the Rüttger government was replaced by the Kraft I government in July 2010, he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, led by Karl-Josef Laumann (CDU). In 2008 he succeeded Stefan Winter , who had resigned due to differences in the protection of non-smokers.
