Walter Dury

Walter Dury (born February 14, 1944 in Zweibrücken ) is a German lawyer .

Life

After graduating from the Staatlich-Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Gymnasium Zweibrücken, today's Helmholtz-Gymnasium , Dury did military service with the army aviators; after military exercises he resigned as first lieutenant d. Out.

He studied law in Heidelberg and Saarbrücken . After the first state examination in 1971, he worked at Saarbrücken University as a research assistant and did his legal clerkship in the district of the Palatinate Higher Regional Court in Zweibrücken. He completed his training in 1974 with the second state examination in law.

In 1974 he joined the Rhineland-Palatinate judiciary as a judge.

After working at the regional court in Zweibrücken , he was appointed judge at the Palatinate Higher Regional Court in Zweibrücken in 1981. From 1992 to 1995 he was President of the Kaiserslautern Regional Court , from 1995 to 2009 President of the Palatinate Higher Regional Court in Zweibrücken and at the same time judge at the Constitutional Court of Rhineland-Palatinate in Koblenz .

Walter Dury has published numerous specialist articles, is a member of the supervisory board of the Gesellschaft für Bauen und Wohnen GmbH Zweibrücken - GeWoBau Zweibrücken - and is involved in honorary positions in the field of sports law and in civil arbitration. He advises the law firm Dury, Saarbrücken, and is an arbitrator at the German Sports Arbitration Court of DIS in Cologne .
