Walter F. Schubert

Walter F. Schubert (* 1883 in Schrimm ; † 1934 ) was a German librarian and art historian . He was considered one of the leading publicists in the field of commercial graphics .

Life

Schubert studied law in Breslau , where he submitted his legal dissertation on the title of the renunciation of the throne at the university there on June 22, 1909 in front of Siegfried Brie and Felix Dahn . He then worked at the University Library in Breslau from 1909 to 1913 , before working at the Higher Regional Court of Celle from 1913 until the First World War in 1916 .

From 1916 to 1919 Schubert worked at the Kaiser Wilhelm Library in Posen and as Secretary General of the German Society for Art and Science.

From 1919 Schubert worked in Berlin as a library councilor for the Prussian State Statistical Office.
