Walter Findeisen (writer)

Guido Walter Findeisen (* December 7, 1903 in Wünschendorf ; † September 18, 1986 in Lengefeld ) was a local writer and dialect poet of the Erzgebirge as well as a publisher.

Life

Findeisen was the tenth child of a board cutter and wood turner. He learned the trade of a book printer in Lengefeld . Self-taught, he acquired knowledge in the field of local literature and wrote several of his own stories and plays, which were initially published by Pöhlberg Verlag and Verlag Graser in Annaberg and, after the end of the war, by Heimat Verlag Lengefeld i. E. have appeared. He became known nationwide through the publication of the Erzgebirgisches Heimat-Kalender in the years 1929 to 1942 and after the Second World War with the humorous publication in Heimat-Verlag.
