Wünschendorf is a district of the Saxon town of Pockau-Lengefeld in the Ore Mountains District .

The Waldhufendorf Wünschendorf is located about 2.5 kilometers north-northwest of Lengefeld in the Ore Mountains . Most of it lies in the basin of a creek flowing west of the Flöha . In the southwest the Bornwald borders on the corridor.

The state road 223 Flöha - Olbernhau runs through the village, a district road connects to the eastern villages of Rauenstein and Reifland.

history

Damm-Mühle Wünschendorf

Manor Wünschendorf (around 1860)

The first written mention of the place dates from 1369 as Windesdorf .

With the Reformation in 1539 the place came to the parish Lengefeld. In 1550, the Damm-Mühle in the south-east of the Lautenbach is mentioned for the first time. From 1551 the manor was at the Rauenstein manor . In 1590 Wünschendorf became an official village of the newly created Rauenstein Office .

In 1696, Wünschendorf came under the rule of the local manor - the manor house was demolished after 1945 for the extraction of building materials, and the entrance portal has been preserved to this day.

On May 1, 1839, Wünschendorf was separated from the manor and formed an independent community with Stolzenhain.

In 1850, toy production was introduced by Robert Weber. A school was built in 1877 and closed for good in 1977.

In 1893 a wheel factory was set up in the former spinning mill in the Flöhatal. In 1899 the volunteer fire brigade was founded . Wünschendorf was connected to the telephone network as early as 1900, and it was connected to the electricity network in 1913. In 1920 the manor district was dissolved. In 1925 the "Bruno Wagner KG, sheet metal and metal goods factory" was founded.

Six people were killed in an air raid on February 15, 1945, and a total of 186 people fell victim to the Second World War.

On October 1, 1948, the settlement Neunzehnhain was incorporated.

In 1875 the place with the station "Reifland" received a railway connection to the Flöhatalbahn . In 1905 it was upgraded to a station and in 1939 it was given the name "Reifland-Wünschendorf", which is still valid today.

On January 1, 1999, Wünschendorf was incorporated into Lengefeld with Stolzenhain and Neunzehnhain.
