Walter Galuschka

Walter Galuschka (born May 1, 1921 in Troppau ( Czech Republic ), † August 28, 1967 in Marktbreit ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After attending elementary, community and business school, Galuschka worked for a short time as an industrial clerk before he was drafted into military service in 1940 . He was taken prisoner of war by the Czechs until he was released in 1946 and resettled to Bavaria . He then worked for the government of Lower Franconia for a few years as an administrative clerk. In 1950 he became an employee of the town of Marktbreit and commercial director of the local public utilities. In 1946 he began his political activities: in 1952 he was elected to the Kitzingen district council, in 1956 to the town council of Marktbreit and in 1962 to the Bavarian state parliament . He belonged to this until his death, his successor was Werner Hofmann . Walter Galuschka has two children who have followed in his footsteps politically: Karin Radermacher , b. Galuschka, also a former member of the Bavarian State Parliament and Heinz Galuschka, SPD district chairman and since 1990 city councilor of Marktbreit and district councilor of the Kitzingen district.
