Walter Guimarães , better known as Waldyr , (born March 21, 1912 in Rio de Janeiro , † 1997 ) was a Brazilian football player.

Career

The midfielder played for Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro in the 1930s and won the Campeonato Carioca with the club in 1933 and 1934 .

He played six international matches wearing the Brazilian national team and was on the squad for the 1934 World Cup in Italy.
