Walter Ködderitz

Walter Ködderitz (born February 7, 1898 in Leimbach ; † October 8, 1980 ) was a German Lutheran theologian and member of the regional church office of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

Ködderitz was a son of the future pastor and superintendent of the parish of Ilfeld Friedrich Louis Karl Alwin Ködderitz († 1905). He attended the Ilfeld monastery school and studied theology in Erlangen , Marburg and Göttingen . After his ordination on April 25, 1926, he became an assistant pastor in Ilfeld , in 1928 a pastor in Lengde , and in 1937 director of studies of the Isenhagen seminars , Göhrde Castle and Loccum Monastery . From 1948 to 1950 he was Conventual Director of Studies at the Loccum Monastery Seminary. On January 1, 1951, he became a full member of the Hanover regional church office, where he was appointed higher regional church councilor and head of the personnel department on May 1, 1953. On October 1, 1963, he retired. Ködderitz was chairman of the Hanover Whitsun Conference . He died in October 1980 and was buried as a conventual of the Loccum monastery in the local cemetery.
