Walter Möbus

Walter Möbus (born October 5, 1947 in Schwebendorf , today Dahme / Mark ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Möbus attended secondary school in Annaburg and graduated from the adult education center. After an apprenticeship as a toolmaker, he studied at the TU Dresden and became a qualified engineer for manufacturing process design. He then received his doctorate as Dr. ing. Möbus was initially a scientific assistant at the TU Dresden, then head of the department at the VEB Kombinat for electrical installation in Sondershausen and at the VEB Keramische Werke in Hermsdorf . From 1988 to 1990 he was a full-time member of the Sondershausen district council for local utilities, after which he was head of the department for technology and business-related infrastructure in the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Labor and Infrastructure.

Möbus has been a member of the CDU since 1967 and has been its district chairman in Sondershausen since 1990. In 1990 he was first elected to the People's Chamber and then to the Thuringian Landtag , to which he was a member until 1994.

Private

Walter Möbus is the father of the right-wing extremist Hendrik Möbus, convicted of murder, and his brother Ronald Möbus .
