Walter Müller (born March 28, 1954 in Zweibrücken ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In his youth, Müller played for the DJK Homburg . He began his professional career in the second division season 1974/75 at FC Homburg . After 28 games and four goals, he left the club for Fortuna Cologne . In three seasons he scored eleven goals and played 101 games. In 1978 Müller moved to 1. FC Saarbrücken . Here he spent most of his career, was a regular player and was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 1984/85 season . When Uwe Klimaschefski was dismissed as coach on April 11, 1986, he and Wolfgang Seel took over the coaching office until the end of the season. After another season in the 2nd division, Müller ended his career.
