Walter Pierburg

Walter Pierburg (born May 18, 1896 in Duisburg-Land ; † 1937 ) was a German entrepreneur .

Life

Walter Pierburg was born in 1896 as the son of the wholesale merchant and entrepreneur Bernhard Pierburg (1869–1937), one of his three brothers was Alfred Pierburg .

After the First World War , Bernhard Pierburg studied in Munich and in 1919 became a member of the Corps Vitruvia Munich . After graduating as Dr. phil. he joined his father's company. In this he was responsible for the foundry activities, while his brother Alfred was responsible for the carburetor trade. In 1937 he founded the Gebr. Pierburg KG family holding company with his father and three brothers , under whose roof the Deutsche Vergaser-Gesellschaft mbH (DVG) and the Autotechnik Beteiligungs- und Verwertungs-GmbH were merged.
