Walter Poppe (born March 5, 1886 - † June 24, 1951 ) was a German football player .

Career

Poppe played from 1904 to 1912 for the FuCC Eintracht 1895 Braunschweig and from 1906 - through a name change - for the FC Eintracht von 1895 e. V. As champion of the football association for the Duchy of Braunschweig in 1905 , he and his team took part in the final round of the German championship . After he played in the two qualifying games, which were won against the Hannoversche Sportverein von 1896 and the Magdeburg FC Viktoria 1896 with 3: 2 and 2: 1 respectively after extra time , he ended in the quarterfinals , in which he and his team on May 14, 1905 in Magdeburg the Berlin TuFC Union 1892 was defeated 1: 4.
