Walter Prinz (born March 15, 1935 ) is an Austrian builder and politician ( FPÖ ) at rest. From 1996 to 2001, Prinz was a non-executive city councilor in Vienna.

Prince was initially involved in politics in his home district of Donaustadt and was a district councilor in the Donaustadt district council from 1971 and 1987. On December 9, 1987, Prince moved to the Vienna State Parliament and City Council , to which he was a member until 1996. On November 27, 1996, Prince was sworn in as a non-executive councilor; he was a member of the city council until April 27, 2001. Prinz was also a member of the Vienna Economic Parliament from 1995 to 2001 and a member of the Federal and State Guilds Committee of Builders from 1990 to 2002. Prince was originally also district party leader of the FPÖ Donaustadt, but was narrowly beaten and replaced in 1998 by Martin Graf , a loyal Jörg Haider , in a battle vote. According to reports in the weekly profil, the election is said to have been preceded by a dirty, intra-party election campaign in which, according to state parliament member Manfred Klopf , lies and false information about Prinz were deliberately spread.

Prinz's political priorities were in the areas of urban planning, urban design and transport. He initiated numerous initiatives and developed planning proposals for a thermal spa center in Aspern , the possible development of the Westbahnhof or the establishment of a history theme park in Rothneusiedl . He also created drafts for possible routes for the Vienna subway. In addition, Prinz was involved in the mediation process for Vienna Airport. Another concern for him was the protection of the cityscape and humane urban development.
