Walter Reiterer (born November 12, 1967 in Neunkirchen , Austria ) is an Austrian sports commentator at Puls 4 and a freelance journalist.

Career

Reiterer was a DJ in Vienna from 1985 to 1996 , including in the U4 , and musician with various Viennese underground bands. During that time there were also TV and live appearances with Gert Steinbäcker and Stefanie Werger . Reiterer can also be seen as a guitarist in the music video for Sunday Morning by Günter Mokesch . From 1996 to 2001 he was Community Manager at Libro .

He began his journalistic career in 1999 with the network magazine Evolver , at the same time he came into contact with the American football scene in Austria. In February 2005 he founded the American football magazine Football-Austria , which quickly found a large readership due to its critical reporting. In 2008 he was awarded the Sports Media Austria Prize for this. From 2008 to 2009 he also worked for the online magazine sportnet.at . From 2012 to 2014, together with Christian Gindelhumer , he ran the NFL portal NFL-Crush , which was awarded the Sports Media Austria Prize in 2013. In 2015 he won the Romy together with Michael Eschlböck in the Info / Sport / Culture category .

In February 2010 he commented on the Conference Finals and Super Bowl of the NFL for Puls 4 with Robert Seeger . Puls 4 then secured the rights for one game per week from the 2011 to 2018 seasons, which Reiterer has been commenting on every Sunday since then, together with the President of the American Football Association of Austria Michael Eschlböck .

From 2011 to 2017 he was Media Manager of the American Football Association Austria (AFBÖ), since 2017 he has been the press spokesman for the Austrian Baseball Federation .
