Walter Risse (General)
Walter Ernst Risse (born December 13, 1892 in Geithain ; † June 25, 1965 in Hamburg ) was a German officer , most recently lieutenant general in World War II .
Life
Cracks served as a one-year volunteer in the Imperial Navy in the First World War . In 1918 he was discharged from the Navy and switched to the police service in 1920. From 1938 Risse served in the Wehrmacht . During the Second World War he led the 225th Infantry Division from September 25, 1942 to May 8, 1945 as commander .
