Walter Scheele

Walter Scheele (born January 23, 1926 in Düsseldorf ; † June 30, 2016 ) was a German economist . He was a professor for marketing in Düsseldorf.

Before taking up his professorship, Walter Scheele was a partner in various advertising agencies and led the advertising campaigns for political parties and large consumer goods companies. Since the 1960s he has led important panel discussions in connection with communication and advertising at home and abroad.

From 1971 Scheele taught business administration , especially marketing, at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences .

From 1976 to 1986 he was editor of the “ Yearbook of Advertising ”. He also wrote many articles for trade magazines such as " Werben & Sell ". He also published books on many subjects of communication. In 1979 the book was published: “Sin lurks between buying and selling. Centuries of advertising in stories and pictures ”.

After his active time, he devoted himself increasingly to “Marketing for Culture Marketing”, where he advised institutions and cultural institutions.

He was also involved in many voluntary fields. He was chairman of the Friedrich Spee Society for many years.
