Carl Kalt

Franz Carl Anton (also: Karl) (born January 28, 1793 in Trier ; † July 22, 1869 in Biebrich ) was a Nassau civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Duchy of Nassau .

Carl Kalt was the son of the Kurtrier bailiff and court counselor Bertram Hieronymus Bartholomäus Kalt (baptized July 13, 1759 in Koblenz) and his wife Caroline née Gilberan.

Carl Kalt, who was a Catholic, remained unmarried.

Life

Carl Kalt attended grammar school in Koblenz and then studied law in Wetzlar and Heidelberg . In 1812 he passed the legal exam in Ehrenbreitstein and became procurator at the local justice senate. In 1818 he became procurator in Herschbach , in 1816 he was an official advisor in the Marienberg office and then in the Höchst office . In 1919 he became office secretary in the Diez office , in 1824 office secretary and chause inspector in the office Meudt before he was appointed office secretary in 1826 in the office in Usingen and in 1828 in the office in Wehen .

In 1832 he was promoted to magistrate in the labor office with the title of Justice Council. In 1837 he moved to the Hadamar office where he retired in 1849. After the Hadamar Office was re-established in 1854, he was appointed bailiff in Hadamar from 1854 to 1856

In 1849 he was elected in a by-election for Joseph Siebert for constituency V (Hadamar / Wallmerod) in the second chamber of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau, of which he belonged until 1851.
