Walter Thiele (theologian)

Walter Thiele (born September 6, 1923 in Meßdorf ; † July 19, 2016 in Sigmaringen ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

After receiving his doctorate in Tübingen on June 15, 1956 ( investigations into the ancient Latin texts of the three Johannesbriefe ) and his habilitation in 1960, he became a private lecturer there in 1964 and an adjunct professor in 1970 . From 1952 to 2005 he worked at the Vetus Latina Institute in Beuron .
