Walter Volland (born August 2, 1898 in Greiffenberg , Lower Silesia , † September 7, 1980 in Goslar ) was a German sculptor and art teacher.

Life

Before the Second World War , Volland was a teacher at the Bad Warmbrunn wood carving school .

After his family had fled from Bad Warmbrunn in Lower Silesia , he settled in Goslar in 1945 and contributed a lot to the enrichment of the townscape and its surroundings with his works of art. His funny figures of the pied piper on the glockenspiel of the Hamelin “wedding house” based on the design of the Brunswick puppeteer Professor Harro Siegel are well known .
