Walther Paul Fischer
Walther Paul Fischer (born January 17, 1889 in Reutlingen , † January 6, 1961 in Marburg ) was a German English student.
Life
He studied in Montpellier and Munich. After receiving his doctorate ( The literary relations between La Fontaine and the 'Astrée' of Honoré d'Urfé ) at the University of Pennsylvania in 1913 and his habilitation ( Die Personal Relationships Richard Monckton Milnes ', Houghton's first Baron, with Germany, paying special attention to his friendship with Varnhagen von Ense ) in Würzburg in 1919 he became professor in Dresden in 1922, in Gießen in 1926 and later in Marburg until his retirement in 1955.
