Waltraud Langer (* 1961 ) is an Austrian journalist , former television presenter and editor-in-chief of ORF-TV Magazine.

Life

After graduating from high school in Salzburg, she studied economics at the University of Vienna , which she completed with the academic degree Magister . She improved her language skills in English and French through stays abroad and subsequently completed internships with the Salzburger Nachrichten and the magazine profil . After completing a one-year university course in business journalism, she first worked for ORF radio in domestic politics and in the business department. Between 1992 and 1994 she was ORF foreign correspondent in Brussels during the EU accession negotiations. After her return, Waltraud Langer became editor of the TV business editorial team, producing articles for ZIB and the business magazine Euro Austria .

In 2000, Langer was the moderator and designer of the stock exchange news in the "ZIB" at 1:00 pm and a short time later rose to head of the business department of the "ZIB 1". A year later she took over this position for all issues of the "ZIB". From 2003 she moderated the press hour as one of several moderators , and from 2005 to 2007 the discussion program Offen Said .
