Waltraud Lauer

Waltraud Lauer (born June 13, 1926 in Duisburg ; † August 6, 2003 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and business school , she completed a commercial training and then worked as a clerk, bookkeeper and youth secretary.

Lauer had been a member of the SPD since 1946. She was active in numerous SPD bodies. Also from 1946 she was a member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and the Socialist Youth of Germany Die Falken .

MPs

From May 28, 1975 to May 30, 1990, Lauer was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She was directly elected in the constituencies 074 Duisburg III and 069 Duisburg IV.

She was a member of the city council of Duisburg from 1961 to 1974. From 1971 to 1974 she was a member of the landscape assembly of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe .

Honors

Lauer was awarded the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on May 13, 1992 .
