Waltraud Wolff
Waltraud Katharina Wolff (born March 15, 1956 as Waltraud Katharina Rudolf in Weißandt-Gölzau ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
From January 13, 2014, Wolff was a member of the Committee for Labor and Social Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee for European Union Affairs in the German Bundestag . From 2006 she was also a member of the Advisory Board for the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railways. In addition, she holds various offices at the municipal level.
Political party
Waltraud Wolff joined the SPD in 1991. The previously non-party was a member of the board of the SPD district association Ohrekreis from 1993 and was chairman of this district association from 1995 to 2006.
In addition, she was a member of the SPD state executive in Saxony-Anhalt from 1994 to 2002 and 2004 to 2013 . From 2004 to 2015 Wolff was deputy chairwoman of the AfA regional association of Saxony-Anhalt.
MPs
Waltraud Wolff has extensive experience in local politics. From 1990 to 1994 she belonged to the district council of the Wolmirstedt district and from 1994 to 1998 to the local council of Zielitz . She has been a councilor in Wolmirstedt since 2004 and became a member of the Börde district council in 2007. There she was also deputy district chairwoman until May 2016.
Waltraud Wolff was a member of the German Bundestag from 1998 to 2017 . After she was deputy spokesperson from 2000 to 2004, in June 2004 she became the spokesperson for the working group on consumer protection, nutrition and agriculture of the SPD parliamentary group , which in November 2005 was renamed the working group on nutrition, agriculture and consumer protection . In 2009 she moved to the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Enquete Commission on Growth, Prosperity and Quality of Life of the German Bundestag.
From January 2014 Wolff was a member of the Labor and Social Committee. She was also an alternate member of the EU Affairs Committee. The focus of her work in the Labor and Social Affairs Committee was European labor and social policy and policy for people with disabilities. She was a member of the inclusion working group of the SPD parliamentary group. This group promotes the participation of all social groups through legislative initiatives and attention to this matter.
At the parliamentary group level, Wolff was a member of the extended parliamentary committee from 2007 to 2014. As the deputy spokeswoman for the East German regional group, which consists of all East German SPD members of the Bundestag, Wolff increased awareness of the challenges and concerns of East Germany until 2015. Since 2010, as spokeswoman for the Saxony-Anhalt regional group, she has strengthened the concerns of this state.
Waltraud Wolff moved in 1998, 2002 and 2005, as the directly elected members of the constituency Elbe-Havel region and Haldensleben - Wolmirstedt and since 2002 the constituency Elbe-Havel area in the Bundestag one. In the 2005 Bundestag election she received 37.4% of the first votes .
Wolff failed in the Bundestag election 2009 on September 27, 2009 in the Bundestag constituency Börde - Jerichower Land (constituency 68) in the fight for the direct mandate with 22.4% of the first votes. However, it moved into the Bundestag because it was number 1 on the SPD state list. In the 2013 federal election campaign, Wolff received 23.1% of the first votes. This time, too, she moved into the Bundestag as runner-up on the state list.
