Elbe-Havel-area electoral constituency

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bundestag constituency Elbe-Havel area was a constituency in Saxony-Anhalt in the federal elections in 2002 and 2005 . It had the constituency number 67 and included the former Ohrekreis and the former districts of Anhalt-Zerbst and Jerichower Land . The predecessor constituency with similar territory was from 1990 to 2002 the constituency 284 Elbe-Havel area and Haldensleben - Wolmirstedt , which included the former districts of Burg , Genthin , Havelberg , Haldensleben and Wolmirstedt .

Saxony-Anhalt lost one constituency in the 2009 Bundestag election. Since a major district reform took place in Saxony-Anhalt in 2007 , most of the constituencies were redesigned. The Elbe-Havel constituency was dissolved. Most of it went into the new constituency Börde - Jerichower Land , with the exception of those communities in the former Anhalt-Zerbst district that are now part of the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district . They were assigned to the constituency of Anhalt .
