Peter Letzgus

Peter Letzgus (born December 1, 1941 in Königswalde , Neumark) is a German CDU politician and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After primary school , Peter Letzgus attended the extended secondary school , which he completed with the Abitur. This was followed by a teaching degree which he completed with the state examination. From 1965 to 1991 he worked as a teacher at the Polytechnic High School and at the Medical School. Since 1992 he has been the head of a local community college.

He is Protestant, married and has a son.

Peter Letzgus joined the CDU in 1991. He became chairman of the Burg Stadtverband and took on the role of assessor in the Jerichower Land district board .

From November 10, 1994 until the 2005 Bundestag election, he was a member of the German Bundestag for three electoral terms . He was elected for the CDU via a direct mandate from the constituency of the Elbe-Havel area and Haldensleben - Wolmirstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the Bundestag he was a full member of the Sports Committee and the Committee on Transport for his parliamentary group .
