Location of Sucre in Colombia

The Departamento de Sucre is an administrative area in northern Colombia . It is bordered by the Department of Bolívar to the east and Cordoba to the west . In the north lies the Atlantic .

The main industry is livestock. In agriculture , mainly tobacco , cotton , corn , yams , sorghum , yuca and bananas are grown. Significant natural resources are oil and natural gas. The industry is underdeveloped. Small craft businesses predominate.

Administrative division

The 26 communes of Sucres are in the list of Municipios in the Departamento de Sucre .
