Werner Lensing

Werner Ludwig Wilhelm Lensing (born October 30, 1938 in Bocholt ; † March 15, 2020 in Coesfeld ) was a German educator and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Lensing studied philology in Freiburg, Marburg and Münster. He was senior director and headmaster at the Nepomucenum high school in Coesfeld.

In 1967 Lensing joined the CDU. From 1973 to 1978 and from 1989 to 2003 he was district chairman and from 1979 to 1994 a member of the district council. He was a member of the German Bundestag from November 10, 1994 until the 2005 Bundestag election (three electoral terms) as the successor to the Christian Democrat Wilhelm Rawe . He was elected for the CDU through a direct mandate from the constituency Coesfeld - Steinfurt I in North Rhine-Westphalia . Since 2003 he has been honorary chairman of the CDU district association Coesfeld . He was a member of the education committee and a member of the study commission “Ethics and Law of Modern Medicine”. He did not stand for the new elections in September 2005. His successor was Karl Schiewerling .

Werner Lensing was married and had four sons. He was a corporation in the KV .
