Wilhelm Rawe (born February 7, 1929 in Havixbeck ; † November 3, 2017 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1965 to 1994. Rawe was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister for Post and Telecommunications from 1982 to 1992 and at the Federal Minister for Transport from December 1992 to January 1993 .

education and profession

After attending elementary school in 1943 entered as operating Rawe young helpers in the service of the German National Railroad and was until 1950 as a laborer on the railways operate. He then rose to the higher civil service and passed the Abitur on the second educational path . As a part-time job, Rawe studied law from 1956 to 1965 , which he completed with two state examinations . Then he rose to the higher service of the Deutsche Bundesbahn . Political party

In 1953 Rawe became a member of the Junge Union and the CDU. From 1962 to 1968 he was state chairman of the Junge Union Westfalen-Lippe. From 1962 to 1986 he was a member of the CDU state committee in Westphalia-Lippe and from 1968 to 1970 he was also deputy CDU state chairman. From 1986 he was a member of the state board of the newly formed CDU state association in North Rhine-Westphalia .

MP

From 1965 to 1994 Rawe was a member of the German Bundestag . Here he was from November 9, 1971 to October 4, 1982 Parliamentary Managing Director of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group . From October 13, 1971 to September 28, 1972 he was also chairman of the Pan International committee of inquiry .

Wilhelm Rawe has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the constituency of Tecklenburg and Coesfeld - Steinfurt . Most recently, he received 56.9% of the first votes in the 1990 Bundestag election .

Public offices

On October 4, 1982 Rawe was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Post and Telecommunications (or from July 1, 1989 Federal Minister for Post and Telecommunications) in the Federal Government led by Chancellor Helmut Kohl . After the resignation of Post Minister Christian Schwarz-Schilling on December 17, 1992, Rawe carried out the post and telecommunications department of the Federal Minister of Transport until January 22, 1993. He then left the government.
