Location of Cordoba in Colombia

The Departamento de Córdoba is a department in northwest Colombia . It borders the Atlantic in the north . Otherwise Córdoba is surrounded by the Departamentos de Sucre in the east and Antioquia in the south and west.

The province's economy is based on livestock - especially cattle - and agriculture . The main products are yuca , bananas , corn , beans , sugar cane , sorghum and sesame seeds . The region is also rich in natural resources. Iron and nickel, petroleum, cobalt, gypsum and limestone are mined.

Córdoba shares the Paramillo National Park with Antioquia .

The 30 municipalities of Cordoba are in the list of Municipios in the Department of Cordoba .
