San Marcos is a municipality (municipio) in the department of Sucre in Colombia .

geography

San Marcos is located in the southwest of Sucre , in the San Jorge sub-region , 130 km from Sincelejo , at an altitude of 25  m above sea level. NN and has an average annual temperature of about 28 ° C. The municipality borders on La Unión and Caimito to the north, San Benito Abad to the east and the Departamento de Córdoba ( Sahagún , Pueblo Nuevo and Ayapel ) to the west and south .

history
