The Haldensleben district was a district in the Magdeburg district of the GDR . From 1990 to 1994 it existed as the district of Haldensleben in the state of Saxony-Anhalt . Today his area belongs to the district of Börde in Saxony-Anhalt. The seat of the district administration was in Haldensleben .

The district of Haldensleben bordered clockwise in the north, beginning with the (rural) districts of Klötze , Gardelegen , Tangerhütte (until 1987), Wolmirstedt , Wanzleben , Oschersleben and Helmstedt .

history

The old Prussian district of Haldensleben had existed since 1816 .

German Democratic Republic

In the course of the administrative reform that came into force on July 25, 1952, the old district lost its southern part, but received parts of the Gardelegen district (area around Calvörde ) and some parts of the Wolmirstedt district and was renamed Haldensleben as part of the reorganization of the administrative units of the GDR assigned to the Magdeburg district .

On May 17, 1990, the district was renamed the Haldensleben district.

Federal Republic of Germany

In October 1990, the regional body named as the district of Haldensleben by the local constitution of the GDR became part of the newly founded federal state of Saxony-Anhalt. During the first district reform in Saxony-Anhalt , which came into effect on July 1, 1994, the district became part of the Ohrekreis .

License Plate

Motor vehicles (with the exception of motorcycles) and trailers were assigned three-letter distinctive signs starting with the letter pairs HF and MF from around 1974 to the end of 1990 . The last number plate series used for motorcycles was HX 60-01 to HX 75-00 .

At the beginning of 1991 the district received the distinctive sign HDL . It was issued until June 30, 1994. As a result of the license plate liberalization , it has been available in the Börde district since November 27, 2012 , which has also applied to other letter combinations since then .
