badges and flags

The coat of arms was approved by the district on May 4, 2009.

Blazon : "In silver a torn green oak with acorns, underneath the crown accompanied by two mutually inclined, turned away axes with green handles and black blades."

Based on the place name, Eickendorf used a coat of arms that showed a natural tree that was supposed to represent an oak. This coat of arms led the community unofficially and did not correspond to the heraldic rules in several positions, therefore it was not approvable. In order to avoid a loss of identity, an oak tree was again included in the new coat of arms, which is clearly recognizable by the leaves and acorns. Because an oak tree alone does not represent a unique and unmistakable coat of arms, two axes were provided. They symbolize the clearing that preceded the clearing of fields and arable land and the settlement in the early history of the site.

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and accompanied in the approval process.

The flag of Eickendorf is green - white - green (1: 4: 1) striped (Ouerform: stripes running horizontally, longitudinal form: stripes running vertically) and with the coat of arms in the center.
