Gehrendorf is a district of the city of Oebisfelde-Weferlingen in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Gehrendorf is a cluster village . It is close to the Aller , which partially forms the border with Lower Saxony . Oebisfelde is around four kilometers north, Lockstedt two kilometers southeast, Bösdorf two kilometers northeast and Bahrdorf in Lower Saxony around two kilometers southwest.
history
The community of Gehrendorf first belonged to the district of Gardelegen . In 1939 Gehrendorf had 311 inhabitants. In 1952 the district of Klötze came into being . Gehrendorf was the location of a unit of the GDR border troops . On April 14, 1994 Gehrendorf became part of the town of Oebisfelde , which on July 1, 1994 joined the newly formed Ohrekreis .
Infrastructure
Miter village is by district roads connected to Oebisfelde, Bösdorf, Lockstedt and Bahrdorf. On the eastern edge there is a former barracks of the border troops.
