Coat of arms of Ivenrode

Blazon : “Slant left divided silver and green; above a green ivy leaf, below a rooted silver stump with freshly cut silver beech leaves. "

The coat of arms is based on an old seal with an ivy leaf. A talking coat of arms was designed . The green ivy leaf for Iven- (Ivo) from ivy (English, Low German) = ivy and a silver stump for -rode (clearing). The stump of a hornbeam indicates the forests in the Börde district in which the village is located. The two freshly cut leaves on the shoot mean that Ivenrode is growing and thriving.

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg heraldist Erika Fiedler and approved on September 16, 1996 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.

The flag is green and white striped with an applied coat of arms.
