Wandelwitz is about five kilometers north of Oldenburg in Holstein on the district road 41 from Oldenburg in Holstein to Heiligenhafen . The Baltic Sea with the beach in Blankeck is about three kilometers to the north.
history
The etymology of the name is unclear, presumably it is of ancient Polish origin. Wandelwitz is mentioned on July 27, 1501 in a bond from Frederick I (Denmark and Norway) to Claus Breide, while Wandelwitz was sold to Frederick I for 1812 1/2 Mark Lübsch .
