Wang Chong (director)

Wang Chong ( Chinese  王 翀 , Pinyin Wáng Chōng ; born January 8, 1982 in Beijing , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese director .

Life

During his studies at the University of Hawaii and the University of California, Irvine from 2005 to 2008, Wang directed . In 2008 he founded the Théâtre du Rêve Expérimental in Beijing as director and artistic director. His productions tour around the world, including in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, USA, Canada, UK, France, the Netherlands, Norway, and Australia.

According to The Beijing News, is considered the "avant-garde artist of 2012". Wang has been a member of the Asian Cultural Council since 2013 .
