Wankendorfer lake area

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wankendorfer Lake District is a region in Schleswig-Holstein around the municipality of Wankendorf , also includes the Bornhöveder chain of lakes and is itself part of Holstein Switzerland . The core area includes the communities of Bornhöved , Schmalensee , Belau , Ruhwinkel , Stolpe and Wankendorf. The surrounding area is formed by other municipalities of the offices of Großer Plöner See, Bornhöved and Bokhorst-Wankendorf.

Due to the division into different districts and offices, a coordinated external presentation of the region is very difficult. Public relations work for the Wankendorfer Seengebiet region has been carried out since September 1998 by Torsten Behrens, who has received a sponsorship award from the Schleswig-Holstein Youth Association for his business idea "Wankendorfer Seengebiet im Internet".
