The Wannebach is a five kilometer long, orographically left tributary of the Ruhr in the North Rhine-Westphalian Schwerte , Germany .

geography

The stream rises about 3 km southeast of Ergste in the Schälker Heide directly on the municipal boundary between Schwerte and Iserlohn at an altitude of 239  m above sea level. NN . Flowing primarily to the northwest, it takes on several shorter, mostly unnamed streams on its way. The Bierbach coming from the south flows into Ergste as the most important tributary. After a further 400 m stretch of the river, the Wannebach flows into 101  m above sea level. NN left in the Ruhr. With a height difference of 101 m, the mean bed slope is 20.2 ‰. The 5.803 km² catchment area is drained to the North Sea via the Ruhr and Rhine .
