Want it -

Want It is the second music album by the Austrian rock band SheSays , released in June 2007 . It was recorded in fall / winter 2006 and produced by the Virgin Records label .

Emergence

After the unexpected success in 2006, winning the Ö3 Soundcheck and reaching the top of the Austrian longplay charts, the band went on a club tour through Europe at the end of the same year. Then the second album was recorded. Meanwhile, Cathi Priemer left the band as a drummer in order to take care of other projects. In addition, the third single Mountainside was not very successful. That meant a setback for the band. In mid-April, the single Open Your Eyes was released on the Ö3 channel . A short time later the song entered the top 40 of the Austrian charts.

In June the band's second album was finally released, which was also released for the first time - without a promotion - in Germany and Benelux .

Singles

Open your eyes

Open Your Eyes is the first number on the album and at the same time the first release from Want It . The song is soulful, but not a quiet love number. There are a lot of pop as well as rock elements , but this clearly adapts to the mainstream . The reason for this is that the song is also played on Ö3 , which only broadcasts current pop music of a certain scheme. The single was released on some radio stations in mid-April and reached number 39 as the maximum.

Video

The video was shot in the Waldviertel / Lower Austria and published on July 25, 2007. At the beginning you see a band member when they find a chest in a dark room (apparently an attic) with photo albums in which pictures of themselves and another person can be seen. In one picture you can see him swimming with a man kissing in a lake, whereupon the lead singer Gudrun Liemberger appears, sings, closes the photo album and throws it back into the chest. During the chorus you can see the whole band singing together (including Rainer Schumich, Cathi Priemer's successor on drums). This scene is interrupted by others in which the third band member pulls down the curtains and a light shines through several windows.

CD single

These tracks are on the CD single:

  1. Open Your Eyes (Radio Version)
  2. Open Your Eyes (Instrumental Version)

Save me

Save Me is the second single from the album. The piece is originally from the album The Game of the band Queen as and was cover version recorded. The title is a calm ballad, a counterpart to its predecessor. Again the text is sung soulfully and emotionally. With rank 37 in the Austrian singles charts, it is the most successful song on the album to date. The single contains the following titles:

  1. Save Me - 3:41
  2. SheSays live @ Donauinsel

Central Europe tour

After the album was released, the band went on a Central Europe tour with Bryan Adams for two weeks , in which they were successful.
