background

Millar invented the series after an idea he had as a child. He invented a world in which all superheroes had been killed in a war by the super villains. As the ultimate vengeance, the villains rewritten history and humanity forgot there had ever been heroes. Millar was inspired by Peter Parker / Spider-Man and came up with a main character named Wesley Gibson, who was a complete loser and learned that he was actually the most exciting and dangerous man in the world: "It's about a man who worst job, worst girlfriend and worst boss in the world, but then like Spider-Man suddenly becomes the most exciting man in the world ... only that instead of doing good, he does bad and kills everyone he hates. "

With the character design, cartoonist JG Jones at Gibson was based on rapper Eminem , and his colleague The Fox is based on Halle Berry .

action

The story takes place after a great war in which the super villains (organized in The Fraternity ) defeated the superheroes and made them forget and humanity forgot that heroes ever existed. Wesley Gibson is a spineless loser who is bullied by his boss and cheated on by his girlfriend. One day he learns that he is the son of the super villain The Killer and that he has inherited his perfect weapon mastery. After the seductive villain The Fox introduces him to the Fraternity, Wesley is indoctrinated and learns among other things. a. Hedonism , racism and rape as means on the way to the perfect criminal. He becomes the bodyguard of Fraternity member Professor Seltzer and has to watch as Seltzer falls victim to an assassination attempt by his colleague Mr. Rictus and Fox and himself are about to be killed. On the run, Gibson unexpectedly meets his father, who explains how proud he is of his son and wants to be killed by him because he is tired of life. Wesley reluctantly obeyed and took bloody revenge on the Fraternity. The villains are organized in the so-called fraternity , which ruled the world and divided it up among themselves. Almost all of these criminals are pastiches by villains from DC Comics .
