The coat of arms of Aragon is a quartered escutcheon .

In the first field in gold a torn tree with a green crown of leaves in which a red high cross is stuck; in the blue second field a pointed silver cross in the right upper corner ; the silver third field is quartered by a common red cross and in its corners a human head with a beard and a tied hood; the golden fourth field has four red stakes . A golden crown rests on the coat of arms .
