In the arms of Extremadura , the shield is divided and split at the top.

In the first field in gold a red lion with a red tongue out; in the red second field a golden brick tower with three small turrets on top, the middle one is the larger one and a blue gate and two blue windows; in the blue third field are the pillars of Heracles connected with the silver ribbon and the black inscription in capitals " Plus Ultra " above three thin silver waves . The applied silver heart shield shows a torn up tree with a silver trunk and green foliage crown.

A golden crown rests on the coat of arms .
